Chickens and Corn on a Stick

When corn earworm makes a mess of an ear of sweet corn, it’s not a loss, it’s an opportunity to let the chickens have a snack and some entertainment.

I stick that corn on a stick and let the hens have at it. They clean the corn right down to the cob.

Here’s Wynona the hen showing us how efficient chickens are at cleaning an ear of sweet corn, earworms and all.
