April Showers Do Bring May Flowers
Tired of the mustard and thistle that crowds the slope every spring and becomes a fire hazard every summer, I scattered a full pound of native wildflower seeds last fall.
The birds actually ate most of the wildflower seeds and the mustard did come back, but at least one little patch managed to hang on.
Maybe it’ll spread a little more next year. But if not, at least there’s some color on the slope for the next few weeks.
