Strawberries in flower? Spring is right around the corner!

After a week of some much needed rain our normally brown San Diego landscape is suddenly green. It’s like all the plants got the message simultaneously and are quickly taking advantage of the warmer days.

The strawberries are particularly happy with all the plants in the patch popping out flowers and fruit as quickly as they can.

Strawberry flowers everywhere!

The first berries of the season are always the best because something sweet in the garden is a refreshing change from all the leafy greens and root crops!

Hooray spring!
