Some people plant their gardens based on the season, I plant mine for sports championships

The Keyhole Garden in December loaded with future Super Bowl snacks

The freshly re-planted keyhole garden doesn’t look like much right now, but by the time the Super Bowl rolls around in mid-February, it’ll be ready.

I’ve got the veggie plate covered with green onions, broccoli and cauliflower (and some multi-colored carrots if the guest don’t freak out). The poblano peppers, red onions and cilantro are there for the nachos. Spinach for spinach dip. And the garlic and the green onions (again) will do their thing in the cheesy garlic twice baked potatoes (which are currently unbaked and down in the main vegetable garden).

If I could figure out how to grow queso sauce, that’d be in there too.

There’s lettuce in there as well, but that’s just so the missus can have her lettuce wraps.

I like to write about the stuff I build, grow and see here at Sage's Acre.
