Water Hyacinths blooming in the goldfish pond
In summer the water hyacinths (Pontederia crassipes) are always trying to crowd out the lilypads and yerba mansa and completely take over the goldfish pond.
I find myself hauling them out a 30 gallon trash barrel at a time at least once a month.
I'm not a fan of that because it's kind of a pain in the butt, but the flowers sure are pretty.
