Gourd Garden Six Months Apart

By Published On: February 10th, 20240.4 min readCategories: Photos

It’s mid-winter now and the garden’s a bit of a weedy shambles while it waits for spring. But, six months ago it was high summer and the gardens were at their peak. Here’s the hanging gourd garden then and now — six months apart to the day.

In a couple weeks I’ll be removing the gourds still hanging and get the garden ready for next season.

Do you sell dried gourd vines?

I don’t. Actually I didn’t even know the dried vines are a thing. They’re tough, but I’ve always just whacked them down and sent them to the compost pile at the end of the season. Can you make things with them?
