The Tomato-ing Begins

By Published On: July 7th, 20200.4 min readCategories: Photos

The tomatoes I transplanted into the vegetable garden back in April are finally starting to ripen. The next few weeks are going to be filled with lots of sauces, whole stewed tomatoes and other delicious preserves to carry us through to next spring.

In the photo, clockwise from top left, it’s Carbon, Brandywine and Roma.

I’m just a guy with nearly an acre of dirt, a nice little mid-century ranch house and a near-perfect climate. But in my mind I’m a landscaper survivalist craftsman chef naturalist with a barbeque the size of a VW and my own cable TV show. I like to write about the stuff I build, grow and see here at Sage's Acre.
