Thanksgiving Prep – Green Beans
You can’t have a real Thanksgiving dinner without the green bean and French onion casserole. The best green bean casserole calls for fresh picked green beans, of course, so we’re out in the veggie garden picking the last of the pole beans.
It’s not easy to keep beans growing this late in the fall, but I’ve found that these Forex pole beans are more tolerant of the shorter days and cold nights, and will keep producing right up to Thanksgiving time. Better yet, the bean pods of fall are smaller and more fleshy than in the summer, so they cook well but keep that fresh green bean snap.
