Compost Inspectors at Work

All compost work is subject to poultry inspection

I did a little maintenance on the compost pile this morning, rotating the material from bottom-to-top and re-piling it in the left side bin so the soil critters can get back to work.

It’s a beautiful compost pile if I do say so myself.

Naturally, as with any yard maintenance, you can expect somebody (or somebodies) to show up and inspect my work.

Red Featherhead showed up first and apparently found something about my work of note because she called over the ladies of the Buff Patrol. The four of them have been scratching and pecking for the past 30 minutes, so I’m feeling confident they’re pleased with my compost work.
